Terms & Conditions for Teachers – Tutor Nation

By registering with Tutor Nation, every teacher/tutor agrees to comply with the following Terms & Conditions:

1. Annual Platform Registration Fees

  1. Every teacher is required to pay an annual platform registration fee of ₹499 only to activate and maintain their profile on Tutor Nation.
  2. Payment of the platform fee is mandatory to complete registration and receive tuition leads from Tutor Nation.
  3. The platform fee is valid for one academic session only.
  4. An academic session shall be considered from 1st April to 31st March of the respective year.
  5. The validity of the platform fee shall expire on 31st March of the academic session, irrespective of the registration date.

Example:

    • If a teacher registers in July 2026, October 2026, or December 2026 for Academic Session 2026–27, the platform membership will remain valid only till 31st March 2027.
  2. For every new academic session, teachers must renew their platform registration by paying the applicable annual platform fee.
  3. The platform fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

2. Tutor Nation Service Charges

For Home Tuition assignments arranged through Tutor Nation, the following service charges shall apply:

A. Monthly Fee Tuition

  • Tutor Nation will charge 60% of the first month’s tuition fee only as service charges.

B. Hourly Basis Tuition

  • Tutor Nation will charge the equivalent of the first 8 hours’ tuition fee only as service charges.

C. Short-Term Assignments (Less Than Two Months)

  • For short-term tuition assignments having a duration of less than two months, Tutor Nation will charge 30% of the total fees received as service charges.

3. Payment Terms

  1. The first tuition payment from the parent/student shall be collected by Tutor Nation in advance.
  2. The tutor’s share/payment shall be released after 10 days from the date of fee receipt by Tutor Nation.
  3. This holding period is maintained to ensure:
    • Parent/student satisfaction,
    • Confirmation of regular class continuation,
    • Prevention of refund disputes during the initial classes.
  4. In case the parent/student discontinues classes during the initial period due to dissatisfaction, Tutor Nation reserves the right to hold or adjust the tutor payment accordingly.

4. Strict Anti-Direct Dealing Policy

  1. Teachers are strictly prohibited from making any direct financial or tuition-related arrangements with parents/students introduced through Tutor Nation.
  2. Teachers shall not:
    • Collect tuition fees directly from parents without authorization,
    • Share personal payment details for direct transactions,
    • Attempt to bypass Tutor Nation,
    • Continue tuition privately with Tutor Nation leads without official approval.
  3. Any violation of the Anti-Direct Dealing Policy shall result in:
    • Immediate termination from the platform,
    • Permanent blacklisting,
    • Cancellation of pending payments,
    • Possible legal action in case of financial loss or business damage.

5. Professional Conduct & Behaviour

Every teacher associated with Tutor Nation is expected to maintain professional standards at all times.

Teachers must:

  • Be punctual and regular in classes,
  • Maintain polite and respectful behaviour,
  • Teach sincerely and professionally,
  • Maintain proper communication with parents and students,
  • Dress appropriately during home tuition visits,
  • Inform parents and Tutor Nation in advance in case of leave or schedule changes,
  • Avoid use of abusive, offensive, or unprofessional language.

6. Class Commitment & Responsibility

  1. Once a tuition assignment is accepted, the teacher is expected to continue classes responsibly and sincerely.
  2. Teachers should not discontinue classes abruptly without informing Tutor Nation.
  3. In case of unavoidable circumstances, teachers should provide prior notice of at least 7 days wherever possible.
  4. Repeated absenteeism, irregular classes, or negligence may lead to removal from the platform.

7. Misconduct & Complaints

Tutor Nation reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate any teacher profile in cases involving:

  • Misbehaviour with parents or students,
  • Fake qualifications or false information,
  • Harassment or inappropriate conduct,
  • Repeated complaints,
  • Poor professionalism,
  • Violation of Tutor Nation policies.

8. Verification & Information Accuracy

  1. Teachers must provide genuine and accurate information during registration.
  2. Tutor Nation may request:
    • ID Proof,
    • Educational Certificates,
    • Address Proof,
    • Experience Details,
    • Demo or Interview Verification.
  3. Submission of fake or misleading information may result in immediate termination from the platform without refund.

9. Lead Allocation Policy

  1. Tuition leads shall be assigned based on:
    • Teacher qualifications,
    • Experience,
    • Subject expertise,
    • Location preference,
    • Availability,
    • Parent/student requirements.
  2. Registration on Tutor Nation does not guarantee tuition assignments.

10. Confidentiality

Teachers must maintain confidentiality regarding:

  • Parent/student contact details,
  • Tuition fee structures,
  • Internal operational processes,
  • Tutor Nation business information.

Sharing such confidential information with third parties is strictly prohibited.

11. Modification of Terms

Tutor Nation reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. Continued association with the platform shall be considered acceptance of the updated policies.

12. Acceptance of Terms

By registering with Tutor Nation, the teacher confirms that:

  • He/She has read and understood all Terms & Conditions,
  • Agrees to comply with all platform rules and policies,
  • Accepts the fee structure and payment policies mentioned above.
